Looking back at the history of seating it becomes clear how come the recliner has had such a good history of satisfied sitters. Lounging and reclining chairs go as far back in recorder history as ancient Egypt and the Pharaohs personal seats.
As many can attest through personal experience, these newer, more compact models found their way into the living room of the 1970’s. However, these chairs tended to be in out of the way dens and not the formal living rooms. Some people just refused to get rid of these comfy chairs.
Recliner chairs are simple chairs which can be inclined at different positions to provide inclined support to the sitter for maximum comfort. These are similar to chairs present in flights and buses, although in a more comfortable and pretty avatar.
A lift ‐chair is a recliner with a motorized mechanism that shoves the "chair" up from it’s base, making it easier to get up from the seat. Lift chairs come in dissimilar shapes or sizes, so it’s easy to find one to fit every‐body type. This type of recliner is usually notably more high‐priced than rockers or wall‐huggers.
